Mirror modding help

Hi guys im going to tackle modding some polo mirrors to my caddy bases with a bit cutting and plastic welding but im unsure which type of plastic welding rods i need? and any one have any tips when it comes to plastic welding? ive got a spare set of mirrors so if it all goes tits up its no big deal.

I just did these mk6 golf mirrors ....slightly more involved than plastic welding rods to be honest

they look real good but think im going to go down the cut and welding route, so can anyone tell me what sort of plastic welding rods i need??
