Ratios.
Simple as that.
Internals will be the same except for the ratios.
You'll need a good petrol to drive a diesel box and a petrol box will be far too low geared for a diesel unless you like changing gear and doing 45mph Max.

Also depends which DSG box, eg Caddy is 6sp, whereas Transport is 7sp - with a lower 1st.l88tars wrote:Hi can anybody tell me what the difference is between the diesel and petrol dsg gearbox
