I have a screw in bung like above but a little bigger, wrapped it in carbon and used a little bear of silconentoo as some weather protection.

Everything else is a simple screw driver and socket job

Yes mate, I've got one on my van. The threads are cut wrong so the cap doesn't tighten up properly without making a small spacer. You'd be better off buying *six* of the caps from doc.

You could buy 6!
The metal bung has no curve or flex and as such distorts the door skin when tightened up.
