CRUISE CONTROL KIT

Post by leytonorient »

Just bought a new kit for £50 says for MK5 GOLF, JETTA, EOS, TOURAN, has anyone fitted one. If it's a big job will just have to sell but would be nice to have. Cheers Chris.

Bought off ebay, the guy said never got round to fitting. It has turned up in box (whole indicator stalk with cruise on the end and extra electric joining box on other end. Know Caddy's can have this option so hoping will be easy job.

That will only work on pre 2011 vans, newer have a different set up.
That is the stalk but you will also need a steering wheel control module (connects all the steering column parts) that is capable of running cruise. Likely your won't be capable of running cruise if your van didn't have it from the factory. There is also an extra wire to run to the ECU if your caddy was built before September 2006.

Thanks, mine is a 2008 1.9 dsg. am hoping to fit a steering wheel with flappy paddles. For £50 was worth taking a chance on, just hoped someone had done it already.

Loads of people have done it already, but it's not just a case of fitting the stalk.

You could give awesome Gti a call I'm sure they used to fit an after market cruise control, using vw or Audi parts :)
