Centering the rear wheel after lowering

Post by Paxgraham »

I've lowered my caddy on vmaxx coilovers and I want to centre the rear wheels in the arches,
I can't access the full site yet so I'm asking here , what can I do to cure this ?
Do I have to remove the leaf spring bolt that fits on the axle and just slide it along a little?
Cheers

When you say you want to centre the rear wheels in the arches, do you mean back to front and not up and down. Don't they sit in the middle once lowered?

No, it moves foreward, the plate has a offset hole & pin and moves the axel back to centre.

You would of thought you'd get this in the lowering kit as standard, not have to go out and buy something else to finish the job, I take it if you get some of these adjustable vmaxx lowering kits, every time you raise or lower the van, the wheel alignment would need to be adjusted too?

Done mine today, Vmaxx on lowest setting and 10mm centring plate setting.
Before and after centring:

Does the centring plates make your rear go lower?! Or you need them to go lower?! How much are they?!

Plates lower the rear by 10mm as they sit between leaf and axle.

Think mine were £55.
