Help bit fell off ???

I was driving on Motorway today when I heard something metal bouncing off the road. I stopped and looked at underside and there was a foot long rectangle just on the underside about the drivers door area with two bolts holding it onto the frame one at each end and one had sheared managed to push up away from rd and drive carefully home but too dark now to have a look to find out what it is so thought I would ask and see if someone could help.

Your very luck it didn't come off

Please do not drive it without securing it properly
