Honestly makes my blood boil that does, what a bunch of jobsworths.

The technology whilst great in theory is shite in practice, how many people have dpf problems?

i do loads of dpf removals , only the ones where the chamber is replaced by new pipe section will be at risk as all others retain the standard look .

unless they have x-ray eyes ...........

Yea that's what I was going to add. I gutted the dpf on the t5 and at the last mot they commented on the fact it was still there and mentioned the law change
The emissions were fine and as long as it doesn't appear to be tampered with you will be fine

Seriously though what MOT tester is even going to check?

My tester certainly wouldn't, and even if he did it'd still pass

On the other hand another tester i know will pass anything for £50 and for £80 he doesn't even need to see the car!

Hence my A4 has MOT done by Stevie Wonder

Yeah we all know a tester who will look away from something's but to not even give the car a once over is madness, the thing could be in a dangerous condition.

Used to take my Evo to a place and he was sensible when it came to emissions as it ran no cat etc, same will happen with DPF.

I hope so cost me 500 the pipe on the golf!
