Vw servicing

Post by Plumb »

Rang up the dealers today to book an interim service, I asked how much and they said £190 odd! I said on the vw comercial website why does it say £105+Vat then? They didn't know and said it was £190 still!

What are you guys paying for servicing at vw can centre?

i was quoted £105.00 for the interim, while my van was in having the some work done, the deal told me it was coming up to the interim, and would i like it doing while i was there,i told him 'ill have it done nearer the time. The dealer said £85.00 if i had it done that day,so i snapped his hand off.

Got to the bottom of it, they had my van down as on long life intervals, so we're trying to charge long life prices,

Got it for £105+ vat, I'm using a different van centre though tonbridge this time

Longlife goes 20000 miles between services and standard is 10000, I've been doing mine every 10000 as I'm sure most do on here, sod leaving oil in there for 20000.

I'm not even sure long life oil is any different anyway, think they just charge you more for it.

do it yourself for just the price of the oul and filter is my motto, sod paying someone! once a year (prob 6000 miles if that) as for long life sod that, no way would i leave oil in that long! we have brand new (19 jan 2014) crafters at work, one of them just did 25k yesterday and is in for 1st service on tuesday! 25k on the same oil! unbelievable.
