Little update, got pulled over yesterday doing 70mph on a duel carrage way, the copper (typical power happy young lad) was well chuffed to piont out this type of van is restriced to 60mph on duel carrage ways due to being over the 2 tonne limit, I let him have his moment of glory and just as he was about to give me a ticket I pulled my photo copy of my v5 out and showed him my weight limit, he went off back to his car and came back 5 mins later trying to do me for wasting police time!!!!!!! He went of with a red face after I turned the tables on him about not checking his computer first!

I think it's the category that's important. Yours says M1. Also says diesel car which would suggest the car limits apply. The weight is irrelevant in that there are cars that weigh over 2000kg but they aren't restricted. It's just commercial vehicles, even if they are used as private cars.

M1 is the important part it means cars speed limits where vans have n1 classification which usually means lower limits

Just to clarify did you send a letter first, get a response then send the log book? Or send the log book with the first letter?
