So,
Slider open, engine running, light on.
Slider open, van locked, light on.
Close the slider and the light goes out.
This is the switch.

Re: Sv: Interior light issue
I seem to remember that you can code the rear interior lights to come on with the front doors...could depend on the type of cecm though...

Re: Interior light issue
All is well with my lights now it was the switch on the sliding door (the pokey outey bit on the door wasn't quite activating the switch on the pillar), so i spaced the switch with a couple of penny washers and now it works perfectly! thanks all for the advise!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Re: Interior light issue
Hey. Did you manage to sort yours out? I’ve just started having this problem, figure it must be a switch but not sure whether it’s the slider or drivers door
Cheers

No, it went in for it’s first service. I told them about it but they couldn’t find anything wrong.

Re: Interior light issue
Thought I’d sorted it the other day by cleaning and greasing the contacts on the sliding door...fail, sorted it for a while but now it just flickers on and off when I go over a bump!Codling893 wrote: Mate ive got the same problem got my van yesterday and the interior lights stay on when driving but turn off ONLY when i lock the van WTF is it

Might be there’s a corrosion problem in the back door wiring from the switches...
