Now then fellas, just bought an 07 TDi and the radiator fans seem to be running constantly. Anyone got any ideas as to what it could be or had this fault themselves?

I have had this problem before...
Has the outside temp.display gone too?
The wire to the sensor in the front bumper breaks...the engine then has no outside air temp,so that makes it activate the fans.
Common fault.

On a lot of vag stuff, if it has the control module bolted to the rad, these can fail. First thing is get it code read with live data to see what it thinks is going on. Do you know anyone with VCDS?

I am just looking at getting a maxi, so can't tell you any more than that unfortunately as not had a lot to do with them, yet!! :-)

Yeah the outside temp is defo working pal.

Will get the code read tomorrow and leave some results here

Got this sorted gents, its the Aircon Pressure Switch thats at fault. £30 fix and its all done.
