Hi all. Purchased some mk5 gt seats for the caddy today.
I am determined to use the Caddy bases as I'm a tall guy and also I'm used to sitting lower... I find it much more natural (for myself)

I can see the one big pin on the one rail of each seat, which needs cutting off... Which I have done.

So now drilling. A hole on each side of each seat, I've heard.
However. Are the holes to be drilled at the front, using the standard rear bolt holes.
Or
Drilled at the back, using standard front holes?

Also I assume you drill the bases, as opposed to the sliding rail itself.

Any help appreciated as ever. Pics if possible of the mounting!

I have touran bases myself but I'm pretty sure you have to fit the front holes with original bolts then drill the back of each rail !

So this happened at the weekend. Drilling was a doddle!
For rear bolts, drill fronts about an inch forward than the existing holes.
M8 bolts, washers both sides, nylock nuts. Done
Seats had only done 40k so flawless. Massive improvement over standard in both comfort & road holding! I went about different & used the rear headrests, so nice on your head/neck not to mention look a lot better!
Oh and the best part is I got front & rears for £60...
I sold the rears for £40 cash... Selling the caddys to a mate for £20...
