Will the Touran windscreen fit the caddy ?
Windscreen guy wasn't sure and need the light/rain sensor mount as VW don't sell separately

No it doesn't
We checked when I had my new screen fitted

Just get the caddy windscreen if you are getting a new one.

The mount is available, just not from VW.

I wonder if there's a windscreen available without the sight area for the chassis number. Painting it black before installing is the backup, haha..

All the windscreens listed in ETKA have the "sight glass"

Painting it Black will give you problems with Plod if they want to identify your motor,a 2 second job & delay will turn into a long wait on the roadside.
