audi brake calipers

Just been looking on ebay at audi brake calipers and was thinking that they all look the same . I looked at calipers off a a4 3.0d and also a q8 3.0d and the looked the same as the mk5 golf r32 calipers and take the same 345mm disc . Can anybody shed any light on them being the same and if they would fit straight on a caddy
