Is there different engines in some of the mk3 caddy's? Just noticing most pics of people's engine bay I see have the oil cap on right-hand side of engine whereas mine is on the left :?:

my 58-reg 1.9 tdi is on the left. might be the 2.0 tdi/sdi that have it on the other side......

Ain't that why some have engine covers and some don't and some have bonnet insulation and others dont

Don't think the caddys came with under bonnet insulation at all.
The early TDI's have the oil filler on the right and newer ones on the left. Dunno about SDI's.

Iv insulation and a engine cover, but my engine is a BJB and its a early caddy cause its got all de early flaws

Mine is an 07 TDi with a BLS engine, oil filler on the left, no engine cover or bonnet insulation..

05 Tdi bjb engine code and it has bonnet insulation and engine cover

Mines is a BLS Engine and it's a 55 plate, my oil filler and dipstick are inline with each other. I've no under bonnet insulation or engine cover
