Difference between Highline and other Models?
I'm just wondering what the main differences would be between a basic 2013 Caddy and a 2013 Highline Caddy?
I know there's cosmetic differences but what about underneath? I'm guessing suspension wise they are all the same?
Are the 1.6 the same as the 2.0 ones the same mechanically too? Heavier engine?
Any help would be appreciated

Difference between Highline and other Models?
Highline's are well finished, they have leather steering wheel, colour coded bumpers, foglights, air con, alloy wheels, cruise control, rear parking sensors, electric windows and mirrors (as standard).

Also alloy wheels, leather gear knob and leather handbrake.
2013 Caddy Highline superchipped but still no match for my Mk2 Golf GTI

It's more the mechanical side of things I'm wondering about. I'm guessing suspension wise all the models are the same? As in all models are all boaty lol

No difference mechanically.
It's worth a browse through ed1119's brochure link above.

Difference between Highline and other Models?
Hi @kowalwalcz, it all depends what options the original buyer chose when they ordered from the VW dealer. You can purchase a standard/basic Caddy from the factory with all the "Highline" options specified (metallic paint, foglights, cruise control, leather steering wheel, alloys, air con, electric windows, parking sensors etc) however it would cost more to do so - details are in the brochure link above.kowalwalcz wrote: I have this and more like rns315 in basic...

Re: Difference between Highline and other Models?
Sorry to drag this thread up back up….
I understand Startline, Trendline and Highline differences, but where does Match fit in all this?
Currently looking at a lovely 2012 1.6tdi Match and unsure where it compares with the above. Is it similar to a Trendline?
Are the modules (I.e. highline modules) compatible across all the range? One of the things I would like to add which it does not have is rear parking sensors along with a mk4 bumper. Has anyone used mk4 wiring looms on a mk3? I have read the issues with regard mk4 parking sensors being different but was thinking if I need to obtain a rear loom anyway would I be best to get a mk4 if it will work??

Re: Difference between Highline and other Models?
Just found this press release for the special edition Caddy Match
https://www.vwpress.co.uk/assets/docum ... 6464vw.doc
The Volkswagen Caddy has its first ever special edition, the Match, offering unbelievable value for money with a higher specification and stylish exterior, plus competitive finance offers available.
The Caddy Match is available for a limited period only, until 30 April 2012, and with the following additional specification over the standard model, it is one of the most desirable and best value compact vans currently available:
Air conditioning
Bluetooth connectivity
Trip computer
Electric windows
Electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors
Cruise control
Body-coloured bumpers and wing mirrors
Wheel trims
The value-busting Match trim is available for both the standard Caddy and the long wheelbase Caddy Maxi (except 4MOTION and EcoFuel models) with prices starting from £14,110 (ex. VAT) and £16,060 (ex. VAT) respectively.
With a range of economical and refined 1.6 and 2.0-litre TDI engines plus BlueMotion Technology models available, which all comply with the latest Euro5 emissions standards, running costs for the Caddy Match are also very competitive.
So I guess the standard model is the Startline? So this is a Startline with a few extras on?

Re: Difference between Highline and other Models?
That UK only Caddy Match spec is actually very similar to the LHD Roncali edition models sold from 1 January 2012 when the first facelift models were released. It seems the Roncali models were mostly specced and offered via dealers in mountain areas of Germany.
As others have explained, some new owners still go loose on the options list, on top of any equipment provided as standard. So beyond the Roncali Edition kit which my Caddy Maxi came with, it also had 4Motion a second set of five steel wheels with winter tyres and the RNS510 head unit. The Roncali models miss out on metalic paint and the MFSW, it still has most of the Highline options and after a look at the official specs sheet which was still glued above the fuse box, it clearly lists the vehicle as a Trendline model but with a long long list of factory options.
