I'm having some issues with the electric mirrors.
If the switch is in the middle no mirrors move - all well and good.
The problem is that when the switch is on the right the left mirror moves not the right and if the switch is on the left the left mirror moves. Any idea what could be causing it before i have to start stripping bits down?
Cheers
Andy

Re: Electric mirror issue
strange.
Has this just happened, or have you changed anything recently?
Are you reading the switch correctly? down is left, up is right

Re: Electric mirror issue
Only bought it 2 weeks ago, done it since i picked it up. The switch is marked L & R. Im hoping its just a dodgy wire. Its not the end of the world but its a bit annoying.

Re: Electric mirror issue
Are they standard mirrors? May be a coding issue that needs vcds

Yeah they are standard mirrors. Would it throw a fault an OBD reader will pick up?

Re: Electric mirror issue
I guess it could have mirror sync turned on , that would explain left mirror moving when on right, so sounds like a fault on the right mirror motor or broken wire in the door.

Re: Electric mirror issue
I had to re code my mirrors when the Touran ones were fitted, the guy with vcds coded them in and it had the same prob as yours if I recall and he just went back on his vcds and re coded it and they are fine now! Hope you get it sorted
