Re: Caddy SWB roof rails/bars
No as I don't need them quite yet but will be getting the ones that fit between. All I can say is that for £100 and to be Bragan lol about the quality being OEM it's just not there.
They do get shipped straight from the factory though so I'm sure that Bragan will be pretty hacked off at this level of bodgery and should demand free replacement.
To be quite honest if they do resolve the issue I'll be really happy as they do look very nice and are strong rails.

Re: Caddy SWB roof rails/bars
Any news on them yet? Are they lower profile than the Vanstyle ones?

Re: Caddy SWB roof rails/bars
Just sent them an email with pictures etc, told them about caddy2k.com etc. if they do sort this out and this is just a one off problem I'd be very happy with the bars.
Profile wise they are spot on, and the finish is a nice lightly brushed semi satin aluminium. The black coating on the front and back legs is good quality. What's letting this pair down are the scratches and poorly moulded plastics which even at their best are not OEM quality.
I've seen better quality plastics come out of a christmas cracker

I have just fitted the genuine VW ones £93 all in and only 3 bolts each side, I have also just bought the Thule feet to clamp on the bars from E-bay £60 delivered and almost new I have the cross bars already but you can pick them u from E-bay for as little as £20.

Re: Caddy SWB roof rails/bars
Straight from Vw van centre the £108 someone else quoted is the fitted price but there are only 3 bolts either side so you might as well do them yourself, yes they are brand new.

Re: Caddy SWB roof rails/bars
Bragan say that they will replace the rails and that the service dept will check them over before they send them to me. Lets hope it happens

Re: Caddy SWB roof rails/bars
Well it's an odd experience dealing with their service dept. You have to do it all through email but you have to ring them to usher them along with the query. I suppose at least it's all in writing which I suppose is even better if your issue doesn't get resolved.
They have left me hanging somewhat as he didn't say how long it will take for replacements to arrive etc. He just said he would do it

Ask them about how you return the faulty items and how quickly you can get a refund. That'll get them moving.
