Hi, hoping someone can help with my first proper post. I've had a look over the forum and can't find a thread that answers my questions but I'm new to this so apologies if it's been posted before.
I recently bought a Mk3 Facelift and the previous owners have 'upgraded' the interior. I have been told that the steering wheel is an OEM R line steering wheel that has been fitted (not multi-functioning). I'm assuming the steering wheel that was taken off was a MFSW as the wiper stalk does not have buttons to change the MFD. Is there a way, using the buttons on the dashboard, that I can change the display? I currently have temperature on there and can't seem to change it. I would like to see what my fuel consumption is but can't seem to do it!
My follow up questions to this is... if I can't change whats on the display using the dash buttons, if I was to buy a wiperstalk with the buttons on, would I be able to install this? And if so how/would this be done?
Thanks in advance!
Ed

Re: Cant Change Multi Function Display (MFD)
The handbook states that it is an MFD and tells me how to change it via either the steering wheel or buttons on the wiper stalk so I'm assuming it is an MFD. I wasn't aware that the '11 plate caddys came with anything but an MFD? Could this be possible?
I'll try get a picture of the set up later (at work at the minute).

Re: Cant Change Multi Function Display (MFD)
The cluster depends on the model..
Startline does not have MFD, Highline does have it, I think Trendline does too.
What model is your Caddy?

Re: Cant Change Multi Function Display (MFD)
I'm not sure which model I have. It's got colour coded bumpers and has an VW OEM screen but not sure whether this was added after. Also no electric windows, fog lights or aircon so could be the startline? In which case it would make sense that there is no MFD.

Re: Cant Change Multi Function Display (MFD)
Nice one, cheers guys. Looks like I'm stuck without. Not a big deal really, I'm loving my caddy and it's much nicer to drive than my old Golf so I can make do with not being able to see my MPG!
