Hi, welcome to the forum.
Your question and similar has come up quite often and the general consensus is that you should not power your camera from the reverse light power supply as it is not a steady 12Vdc.

Doc,what in your opinion is the best way of wiring it?

I have a Pioneer reverse camera and Pioneer Head Unit with reverse camera socket in the back of it.
