Am looking at buying a split charge relay kit soon am just wondering what kind of length cable do I need as will be sitting behind the passenger seat?
Also what have people used as earth point when battery is in that area?
And finally will a 110 battery fit in that gap or do I need smaller leisure battery?
Thanks for help.

Re: Split charge relay kit?.....questions
I fitted one on my sons Caddy, I can't remember the length of cable we used but just measured with a tape measure where the cable was going to run and added a couple of metres just incase as it's only a few quid extra.
A 110amp battery fits ok but is a little tight by the time you get a battery box in, we couldn't get the lid on the battery box so covered it with rubber matting.
There's an earth point down by the lower seat belt mount that we used that can be seen once the sill trims are off.
We used this kit http://www.simplysplitcharge.co.uk/stor ... duct_id=75
Link to my sons thread though his info and photos aren't the best https://caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30251

Yeah think will get 3 metre length kit as hopefully be right length.
Yeah doubt will need battery that size but not much extra for a full size one compared to smaller ones.
Cheers will have a look through your thread now

If your gunna add a split charge kit, don't skimp on cable. Welding cable is cheap and up too the job, I use 0 gauge. Over kill but it means there is no voltage drop due too cables.
0gauge in Welding cable is called 52mm.
Order extra and upgrade your big 3
alternator too starter
Starter to battery
Battery grounds.
Aswell as heatshrink all connections to save and corrosion in a few years time.

Scrabby67, I am loking for good earth point on my Caddy for the same kind of leisure battery install. There is a small bracket with two holes in it, one threaded, below the lower seatbelt attachment that you mentioned (it has paint on). Is this where you mean? I don't want to get this wrong for obvious reasons! Looks like a good earth point if I have it right! Cheers
