Voluntary Recall - EA189 software v hardware
It has become quite apparent that VW Oz has placed demands on VW dealers, such that, they will not supply the little plastic hardware MAF device without the software "change" in the recall - (notice I did not type "bug fix", "upgrade" or any other term meaning "betterment"). The "air flow correction" device does not have a part number (bit silly, some must eventually be broken when taking air filter, sensor, plastic air ducts, etc apart). Does anyone know if there is an after market one available or they have the dimensions for it. Three-D printing comes to mind if I have too. I certainly don't want the software altered, I'm happy with the engines performance, I'm interested to fix the EGR with the "straightener". TIA.
