Is this normal, all flat not 3D like the rear one.

Adaptive Cruise Control.
The front badge is on every caddy now, but the reason it's like it is, is for the acc sensors which sit behind it.

Radar lives behind the badge and it needs to be non metallic for it to work.

I have still a 3D effect badge but no sensor behind it as the caddy has no radar. I have to say that badge is less deep than the previous caddy models have.
