What do you think guys? I really love the latter to be fair. But cannot justify £20 plus vat.

For a reasoned, neutral, non-biased opinion, I suspect a Caddy forum is not the place to ask. :D

Modified Caddy I reckon.

Caddy all the way in my eyes, I've driven the other one and other makes. Other makes try to capture the spirit of vw but don't quite get there. (That's my opinion by the way I'm no expert) :D

I took a good look at the Connect and thought that it was a good looking van, however, the lack of power outputs and options put me off.

Apparently the lack of options etc is going to be addressed with the facelift later this year along with a jump in tech and safety systems. The transit custom facelift has just been revealed

Keep up?? The connect is leagues ahead of the caddy, even the dealer I bought my van off of said this!

Remember the 2k platform has been around 13years now, it has no hope of being able to compete with the new generation of LCV's that are coming to market. There will also be a new Peugeot/Citroen/Vauxhall LCV launched later this year/early 2018.

Only reasons I got my Caddy was the adaptive cruise and auto box, and the ridiculously huge discount I got on the van. And that was even without it being pre registered

The m sport connects do look great but it does all just seem like alot of bolted on body kit, with no extra suspension or engine improvement.

I looked at them before buying my caddy, it was the build quality that swayed me, and the potential for customisation.

We have three CNG bi fuel caddy's and one Transit Connect 1.5L 120bhp automatic diesel in our company, as well as a plethora of old Transit Connects 1.8L 90bhp manuals. I've driven many different Connects and none comes close to the Caddy in driving experience, handling, and build quality. The Transit Connect is quite sparky for it's engine, especially the latest version (wonderful gearbox), but it's feels like steering a tractor in comparison. Where the Transit Connect has the upper hand is that it's more built for taking big, heavy loads, for example I could take two EUR-pallet loaded sideways in the old Transit Connect. Also one big plus over Caddy is rear view camera on barn door model, why VW never addresses this boggles me... Also Caddy looks much better IMO, but on the other hand I really dislike the look of the Caddy Maxi whereas the TC L2 looks perfectly fine.

I know they're releasing a CNG version of the 1.0 Ecoboost here in Sweden, but hadn't heard they're getting a facelift. Absolutely hate the instrument cluster, hope they change that, get some xenon or preferably LED headlights.

In all fairness I have not driven the new Transit Connect. I have driven the Transit though and it drives really well.
