Hi
Wanting to hook on a basic bit of tarpaulin / fly tent onto the side of the van when camping but don't have roof bars.
Does anyone know the size of the bolt / cap that is the blank for the roof rails? Was thinking of taking the blanks out and putting a small hooked bolt in as replacement something like this..
Any issues with water / sealing ? any other ideas? cheap and discreet preferred.
cheers

Awesome ta Gresley
8 quid for 5 of these from amazon and some sealant should do the job
will update the thread when apply to van.

Put these on to test last night. super simple to install. perfect size. Just reuse rubber washer from blanking caps and good to go.
If you dont like it ruining the aesthetics can easily remove as takes seconds. I was just going to keep them in glove box and install when needed
£7.99 from amazon

Decent enough quality

You'll need paste and PTFE on those threads as they will allow water into the van. Had to do this recently after fitting roof rails. Happy I did that before carpet lining as it would of made a real damp rusty mess.
