Injectors on 63 plate 1.6TDI

Hi there

A lot of problems with injectors by the looks of it! I have a 63 plate caddy with number 3 injector having an open circuit or knackered! Was the new injectors used in the later models or is this problem just as commen with newer models like the older ones? Is it best to take it to a vw garage or find a private vw specialist?

I think the injectors where revised from what i know

Had an injector go in mine last week if your van has had the recall done on it then vw will fix it free of charge

I had injector 3 go last month and I'm a little concerned about another going. My Caddy is 2011 only 44k on the clock. Thinking about taking out a warranty incase this would happen again.Anyone know if a warranty would include injector failure, dont want to be another £500 quid down. Just a thought though.

From what date were the improved injectors fitted?

Checked a few warranty's, jesus I didn't think that they where that expensive, over £300 per year. Think ill put that on hold.

I phoned vaolkswagen earlier and basically he told me to get the ecu updated this is free from volkswagen and after that providing my ecu has had the update then they will replace injector for free for me so if your car hasnt been updated get it updated !

From what I have read in other forums the new injetors were fitted from late 2013 models onwards
