The drilling and cutting should not be a problem as drilled plenty of holes in aircraft and have a dremel that will cut anything even jammed in road springs  .

As for seats will touran fit the mounting plate or any others?

Do you have any pictures of the rear mounts and as for the trims any part numbers?

No sorry the only seats that fit is the caddy life ones as the floor plate is from the life not the Touran.
People have fitted the floor pan from the Touran but I went down the factory look, as you can get all the plastic trims off the shelf and no modifications needed.
The Touran seats are all individual and looked to be more in-depth fabrication and harder seat belt locations.

Noted, its just the availability of the caddy life seats over the touran ones. Would the floor pan require much adjustment for the touran seats?

It’s completely different mate

You would need the 2x floor plates that you will have to cut out the Touran as you can’t buy them off the shelf

The pictures make more sense, could the caddy floor pan be modded to take the touran floor pan fittings then again at £280 for the set that sounds good.

Sorry no pics mate
I drilled in the standard location and had some bolts, spaces made by a friend, so that it didn’t crush the chassis box section. I will take some pics when I get chance.

Andy1234 where did you get the sill trim part from? If it was VW do you have the part number?

It’s all form the scrap yard mate.
That’s the main reason I went down the factory (caddy life) look, because everything is readily available.
And sorry I don’t have any part numbers.
I would have to pull my van apart to get them.

First post here and this is exactly the kind of information I'm looking for!
I have a 2013 and have go hold of some standard rear seats, mounting brackets and seat belts. What I don't have yet is the panel (2K0 802 277) or anything that sits on the other side of the chassis or pillars. Now I have the part number for the panel I'm sure I can pick one up (any recommended dealers?).

Are there specific part numbers for the nuts that go on the underside of the floor plan? and/or for the load spreading parts the upper and lower seatbelt mounts bolt in to?

Many thanks!

Might want to visit TPS Trade Part Suppliers (Provide parts to VAG and trade outlets) at a quiet time - so not first thing AM or just before they shut. Most will serve non trade if you pay cash, and every time I have needed parts, they have been happy to dig out diagrams to identify and order whatever you need.

However most parts systems now use the VIN details/number plate info which will therefore only show stuff officially installed on your vehicle . So if you are planning to add "extra" stuff - a good trick is to visit a VW dealers and write down the number plate of a similar year caddy model which does have what you want installed. So for fixings for rear seats, look around for a crew cab or combi/life model. Don't forget SWB/Maxi as appropriate, which will then show up whatever reinforcing plates and fixings may be needed.

I have been following a few threads on this recently as I am currently putting rear seats in my 4 motion.

I have a genuine set of Kombi seats. After eyeballing the bolt locations for seats and belts we found that captive welded nuts were already on the floor pan, the floor just needed drilling to bolt the seats and belts in.

I was wondering if everyone has had to do the 'floor spacer anti-crush' tube for the belt mounts, or have other people found the same as me?

PS.... if anyone has a maxi rear genuine rubber footwell set including the side trims and bulkhead delete parts Iwould gladly buy them!

The vw panel £52.00 part no. 2K0 802 277
That’s the panel you need to mount the new front part of the seats after drilling out the old floor pan.

Then all the rest was a buy from a local scrap yard, front and rear carpets, side plastic trims, 2x outer seat belts, seats them selfs, all fixings, clips and bolts. Lad was fantastic in the scrap yard. He gave me everything possible and some extra stuff he thought I might need.
I did the seats over 2 days over 2 different weekends, the only problem I came across was the outer seat belt mounting points. This I had a local engineering company make some new bolts with sleeves so I didn’t crush the original chassis box section and was possible to mount to look factory.
Hi Andy,
Great job on your conversion. I’m just about to attempt my own and want a bit of advice.
Where did you source the part? £52 is way cheaper than I can find it. Also, what bonding did you use?
I would appreciate any info!

Thanks,
