Re: Caddy r32 gti bumpers
Thanks m8,
Yes that’s the one.... im assuming the part with the clips on it is the caddy bumper and the bit to the left the gti one?... that confused me as I thought you cut the gti one shorter....
I hope that makes sense to you...lol....I’m starting to confuse myself!!!!!!

The caddy bumper top, wing and arch interface are retained to fit to the vehicle, the red on my sketch is where the GTI bumper in fitted in.

Why DM Hef? Surely discussions on the forum will assist much more than you can on a one to one basis.

That bumper is amazing, great work and thanks for sharing.
Might have to give it a go also.

Re: Caddy r32 gti bumpers
Thanks for that doc....I haven taken the caddy bumper off yet so wasn’t aware of the shape of the rear of the bumper.... thanks for clearing that up
And thank you Hef for the info and the adhesive advise...once I have more access I’ll perhaps take you up on the offer of additional advice if needed.

Re: Caddy r32 gti bumpers
Hi, my first GTi bumper. I chose a butt cut, using aluminum washers. I lightly drilled the rivet holes and riveted the washers. I left a pad on the tag. He used glassy putty and finish putty. I like the result very much

Re: Caddy r32 gti bumpers
Looks a great job that mate well done indeed ... just a couple of questions ... have you left the rivets in place or did you remove before painting? Also, i see you cut the lower left and right side original Caddy bumper fixings off. How will you fix the Gti bumper on, will you make your own fixings?
Be good to see the bumper on the van my friend well done again for a great job
