Which seats fit caddy

Post by rabcam »

Hi Guys

Im looking for info on which seats will fit the caddy without too much mods..

I'm thinking about buying a pair of Audi A1 sport line half leather seats, obviously the side airbags will not work, but that ain't a problem.

What has everyone else fitted...? any pics would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rab.

They are comfy in my opinion but they do hold you well in the seat. Yes not cheap though unfortunately

Polo and A1 have same frame width, which is a direct fit
Bigger VW Audi Seat Skoda cars have wider frames wich you can solve by using one origional hole and drilling 3 extra new holes to lock the chair with bolts and nuts. I did this multiple times already, Golf 5 6 7 seats and even bigger sport seats from audi.

Would reupholstering the original seats not be a cheaper alternative to this? Or have I missed the point somewhere?

Reupholstering the seats won't make them any more comfortable, means you are without seats for sometimes weeks and can be a lot more expensive depending on the standard of work and material you choose.

Yes why spend extra money on touran bases if the Caddy bases are just a 20 min modification.

You only need to take them out, push the seats on their back and position the bases that the chair Will fit on them nicely. create new holes 3 at least to fit the seats on the Caddy bases with bolts and Kock nuts. Easy job to do yourself.
