Wind Deflectors

Post by carromato »

Hi all there!
I find a bit too noisy driving with open window, even slightly open. Is it worth fitting Wind Deflectors and in case any brand better than other that you would recommend (year 2007) for this matter?
Thanks in advance for chiming in and big salutations.

Hi, I've just fitted Team Heko wind deflectors to my caddy today (FleaBay, £27 quids)

They were dead easy to fit, took me about 5 mins to do both sides. The wind noise is reduced quite a lot when driving at normal 30/40 MPH speeds with the window down an inch or two. However, there is a slight increase in wind noise on the motorway, due to the seal not being quite as tight at the top of the glass. This I expected, and to be honest its not too bad.
Look decent too :-)

Hi, good to know they might be worth! and easy to put them( I hope will not fall out on the road). Anyway they are on their way.
Biggest annoying thing on the Caddy apart the noise when driving at normal 50/60 MPH :D and full open window, compared with other cars I have driven, is the wind or turbulence comes in a lot towards ear and head.

Got my Hekos. Damn these things are sh*t!! Fitment is awful.

Channels aren't deep though to hide the clip. Clip fouls the window, so it just goes back down again.

And they can be removed with the window up?!?

I've not had an issue with mine, though I did have to force the drivers side window up the first time. It now works fine.
I haven't tried removing them with the windows up though!

I went for the Climair ones. They are a bit deeper than the heko ones and don't rely on any kind of clip or adhesive, and don't come off with the window up.

I had thew genuine VW's fitted to mine and so far they have been much better than the Hekos.

Plus, if you have folding mirrors, the Hekos foul on the mirror when its folded.

Team Heko are the only ones to go for. I have had them for years on a number of different cars and have never had any issues.

As above, I’ve had Heko’s on numerous different cars and always found them faultless and a nice little touch to the outside look

Hekos here and like mentioned above when you fold the drivers mirror in it hits against the deflector. But look great and do their job well
