Just bought myself this car/van a 2010 Volkswagen Caddy Life TDI DSG. I keep seeing references to Mk2 etc etc So how will I actually know what variation of model I actually have? What are the main differences?
The model I have does not come, I think, with sat nav. Can you upgrade the audio head unit to a Sat Nav variation with a plug and play replacement? Sorry if I sound a little vague but this was bought in a bit of a hurry last week from a dealer and not had time to look at it in great detail but just enough to see it runs etc ok. The actual car/van arrives this Thursday.

You have a Third Generation (MK3) Caddy, based on the 2K Chassis
2004-2010 are 2K
2010-2015 facelift, while still based on the 2K chassis, are sometimes referred to as 2C
2015 onwards, still a 2K chassis, are sometimes referred to as SA, (or Mk4, despite only really being a facelift)
The 2010 pre face lift Caddy is mainly different at the front end. Different bumper, grille & headlights and also a very slightly different interior. Not that you would notice.

True. I would probably not notice because all this is new to me. However I am going to Google photos of a 2008 and a 2011 Caddy to see if I can spot the exterior difference.
Yes the front end is different but the interior of the cab is not much different between the pre face lift and the face lift is was I should of said in my previous post.
