Caddy passenger window not working from drivers side button

Post by PRMG »

I've noticed that the passenger window is no longer operational from the drivers side switch/button.
It still goes down using the passenger side button, does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Also the one touch isn't working, but I've read that I need to open the window fully, hold the button for a further 5 seconds, then close it and hold it for 5 seconds again - will be trying this when I get home

The caddy window switch is prone to failure from water ingress due to it being right "in the line of fire" when the window is opened on a wet day.
New switch is your easiest solution as the moisture normally ruins the tiny components on the circuit board.

Does your central locking work? This sounds like your Caddy is semi immobilised which happens when the car doesn't recognise the central locking fob.

I deleted all the remotes from the car with a handheld gadget and then it started working on mine

The red light doesn't light up on either key, even after battery changes.
Only 1 key sends it into safe mode, it's got me very confused!

What device did you use?
