Can carpet be glued straight to soundproof matting ?

Yes I applied the carpet spray on adhesive directly to silent coat soundproofing on my wheel archesImageImage

Yeah your need to put the ply board back for the carpet to stick to. Then I guess you putting the carpeted ply line board over all that to push it back and hold it all in.
