When should a cambelt and water pump be done ? A 2013 caddy with 74,000 miles cant find anything in the history to say been done, as our cars cambelt just snapped and caused alot of damage and dont want it to happen to this!!

The cambelt is due to be done now at 74000 miles. You might as well get the tensioners, water pump and the auxiliary belt done at the same time. This will save on labour costs later.

If you look on the vw website it dosnt state the mileage it says 4 years for pre 2009 and 5 years after that
