You need to remove the seat base and lift the carpet to see the Bluetooth module. It's buried well down in the foam under the cab flooring.

Ok, I’ve managed to man handle the module out from under the seat.

CarSystems sell that version as A2DP compatible so it is most likely disabled in the coding.
You might need to run the 2nd channel audio wires to your stereo unless you like listening in mono.

Just spoke to a VW dealer in Newbury and they again don’t really have a clue. I mentioned it may need a software update and they wanted £90 just to plug it in and use VCDS to see if any faults came up, I passed.

DOC, do you know anyone with experience in this field that would know what to look for, even to call them up if they’re not local?

Anyone with VCDS and the knowledge to use it should be able to check for you, I wouldn't be going to VW for it as it'll be a few hours workshop time for them to add the wires if necessary and if that's the case you'd be into a hefty bill with parts and labour.
I don't know anyone I could suggest to do it, maybe some local VW specialist??

Well, you were right. I went to see Claudiu @VCDS Diagnostic in Hemel, he sorted quite a few bits and pieces out for me and also enabled BT audio for me.

Like you have previously said though, the audio isn't quite right and it's not stereo. What do I need to do to fix this?

Hi, what seat was the module under? And is it the same location for the rcd 310?

Drivers usualy but it’s buried under the carpet stuck to the chassis in a polystyrene holder have to really work to see if it’s there without removing the seat
