Re: Diesel additives.
This could end up like an oil thread, people will have their favorite additives and fuels which they may want to make a case for, but unless we've got a petrochemist on the forum who's tested additives then it's all anecdotal.
Personally I'd try an additive to address a specific problem on the off chance that it may help but wouldn't bother routinely adding anything.

Re: Diesel additives.
I read a few articles regarding the fuel companies removing or lessening certain additives.
Have a google and make your own mind up.
Personally I don’t think mine would of gone on for as long as it did without the rhino stuff I used and I only run bp super for similar reasons.
Mpg is better in my 2.0 tdi passat too

I use the Millers every fill. Any improvements are not noticeable but for the small cost I put it in anyway when not using V power.

Been using Archoil for a while now. Reviews were great, and I have to say it seems pretty smooth since I started using. May just be the 'placebo' effect mind

Re: Diesel additives.
What you looking to get from an additive?
Can't repair a problem possibly cover one up short term, not realy needed to gain more power as you would be as well off stripping weight out to increase power to weight ratio or just get a decent remap.
More there to make money for shops and manufacturers than any thing else.

Re: Diesel additives.
Just asking if it helps the engine. Does it improve fuel economy stuff like that??
