Funny this came up in conversation last weekend when I was discussing engine conversions with some friends.

Don't know of many domestic situations where a 22kw would be an option though.

I didn't realise it was a couple of years old. I guess with pressure to scrap diesels this will be a reality someday and who knows maybe supercapacitors instead of batteries. At least it won't suffer injector problems and VW wouldn't have to cheat the emissions. I guess they'd just change the amps instead......

Don't kid yourselves that electric cars are 'Green', this thing and it's heretic brethren will never recoup the energy it took to build them in the first place, you'd be greener driving a smoky old type 2 Splitscreen, and have more fun! Viva la v8

Oh I'm fully aware electric cars are not green, but unfortunately the reality is petrol and diesel will be phased out and there's not much we can do about it. A v8 interceptor and Mad Max future cometh!
