Well happy with my vw

Hi all

Had my caddy now since Friday and very happy so far.
Had full tank when I got it and I’ve done 300 miles since and still got half tank so can’t grumble..

Contacted vw and also found I’ve not got a dpf as it’s a 1.9tdi 104ps 2010 model so chuffed about that too, one less thing to worry about..

Changed oil n filter on Saturday for piece of mind although was done 8000 miles ago according to service schedule..

So far so good.. my first vw and happy so far.. i

That's odd, Dpf"s became mandatory in 2009 ? Is it a van that's been in storage un-sold at some time ?

It's a 1.9 tdi 104 and a 2010 which is when the first facelift of the 2k occurred, is that when the 1.6 and 2.0 tdi CR replaced the 1.9 PD?

its a prefacelift model 2010 and as I said I contacted vw who confirmed no dpf.
also on the vehicle data page of my service schedule one of the options shows as

0GG
AGM
Emission standard EU4

where as the Dpf option not on mine is

7GG
AGM
Emission standard EU4 DPF

Well it's true that all diesels from 2009 on had to be fitted with a diesel particulate filter by law, but as we know, VW don't let a little thing like the law get in the way of their shenanigans
