Help with sliding door opening

My sliding door doesn’t open with the interior handle, it still feels connected but won’t pull it enough to pop the catch.
Is there any adjustment in there?
Also anyone know the part number or name for the triangle shape door pull as mine is currently gaffer tape

Just a thought. Is there a child lock? key shaped opening on door edge.

I don’t think so but will check as there is one on the back door.
I’m a little worried about it as the sliding door had green all in the shut and has lever bar marks around it suggesting it wasn’t opened for a long time
Don’t want to to stick again if that what happened before

Sounds like your on the right track with what your saying marks around the door and green in the door jam may not help but used to get the same problem with the transit vans at work had to change out the door mechanism not an easy task when you can't open the side doors
