Help! Caddy SDI problem starting

Post by DanBFC »

Heyup lads, hoping you can help me out here a little... I have a 2006 caddy sdi, she's got 94k on the clock and runs like a dream. However I keep having a problem every now and then with starting it, when I get in first thing in a morning it jist will not start at all, resulting in me having to put her into 2nd and jump starting it, once it's started it runs nicely but whenever I'm in neutral the van shakes rather badly, if I don't out any gas on whilst it's shaking it eventually cuts out.

Also when I've drove in it for 10 15 minutes I can turn it off and back on again all day, it starts fine then but if I leave it for anything over an hour it tows it's arse off and needs me to jump it.

Hope you can help me out here, this has come and gone away ever since owning it, no fault codes register so many mechanics will not touch it. I'm a courier by trade so without my van I am done in.

Sounds very similar to my problem. Did you get it sorted?
