Yesterday I tried some C63 shoes on my van

Post by Cabbs »

Hi all,

I’m undecided as to what wheels to run but yesterday I tried a set of Mercedes C63 wheels on my van. Firstly I was quite surprised they fit. 225/40/19’s up front and 255/40/19’s in the rear. No rubbing and looks like there’s room for some drop.

Your thoughts please.

I’m not a fan mate, sorry (you did ask) I’m of the opinion that silver wheels look better as you can see the detail of the wheel more clearly, black wheel details get lost IMHO.
Maybe a colour change?......or just tell me to sod off

There's quite a few people on here who have slammed their vans on 19s, just have a look through the wheels and suspension section. I like black by the way, each to their own I suppose

I think I’d change the centre caps but apart from that I like them !

Yeah your right mate there are plenty slammed on 19’s. I think dropping it about 50mm might be my max as the sit out wide.
The badges will of course be changed.

I see your point mate but I’ve bought black roof bars and side steps so silver might look abit odd. Never been a fan of black pimped wheels myself but there growing on me. Image

If the wheels sit out wide check that the side door opens without fouling

As per above post. I had a set of 9j et40 wheels and side door would scrape on wheel or not open at all depending on camber of road. I was looking at c63 wheels but now I've seen this I think that's a definite no for me unless they're attached to a c63. 😁

Don’t worry the C63 have been ditched. I’m not keen to be fair so I’m on the hunt for something different. Image
