Post by ozziecaddy »

been offered some nice seat leon front seats in really good condition and even better free. Was wondering if its possibke to fit these to my caddy and would I be able to just use the original bases. Any advice would be much appreciated

picking them up tomorrow just hoping not to much hassle to fit. Also getting rear seats gonna see if i can use the material to recover my bench seat so it matches the front

seat leon seats

Older Seat Leon can be a direct fit, recenter Models are wider. Just need to drill new holes in the Caddy bases as the sliders are like 2cm wider from each other. No big deal easy to do. Or Buy Some touran bases for a direct fit for newer seats.

I think they are mk4 golf platform, not the Mk5 the Caddy shares. Have a search for how people have fitted Mk1 TT seats too, they’re the same. Like anything, it’s doable, but I think you’ll have to get something fabricated up, there is no direct bolt in option.

Alternatively, get them on eBay and find something newer. My last Caddy, I had a set of mint Golf GT seats off eBay for £50, on Touran bases (that was a steal).
