Bumper protector, anyone got one of these???

Doesn’t seem to be a very good fit, catching on the barn doors and not sat totally flat on the bumper so adhesive strips haven’t grabbed perfectly.
Anyone else experienced this?

I've got a carbon fibre look one that I got from Banwy VW. It is a very good fit around the bumper. Don`t think that Banwy do them any more though.

IMHO glossy protectors defeat the purpose, as they're going to get scratched up and look terrible.

I got this one, as it is a functional bumper protector. Fits and works well:

I have just fitted one, I trimmed the ends a little as it didn’t fit 100%. Bumper must be really clean, I used brake cleaner as a wipe down. Then heated up both plastic trim and bumper with a hair dryer.
Now fits perfectly.

Ive got a real carbon fibre one which looks similar to your one. First one I got didn't fit nicely, the bottom edges of the doors touched it on opening and the double sided tape didn't hold it in place well so I sent it back. They sent me another one which fitted better but only when it was held down tight. Because I knew the double sided tape wasn't strong enough (carbon was too rigid so didn't flex at all and wanted to lift) so I tiger sealed it on, clamped it together for a day to let it set and it's been fine ever since.

Different things are needed for different purposes. I personally needed a glossy one because I'm always dripping paint on mine as i work out of the back of my van (I'm a smart repairer) You wouldn't be able to wipe paint off a textured plastic one easily and after a while it'd look terrible. Ive scratched mine a couple of times but being glossy I was able to flat and polish the scratches out so after 2 years of use it still looks brand new.

where do people get these from? I could do with one of the tough plastic ones. was thinking of getting the ppf stuff cuz I'm always kneeling or leaning against the rear bumper getting stuff in and out

I’m thinking of one of these, for when getting the bikes in and out. There’s a genuine option (missed offer at TPS a few months ago) in matt black and then gloss/matt/carbon/alu effect options from Vanstyle, etc.

I suspect the fit may be better on the gen one...

That's where my carbon fibre one is from.

My vanstyle one fits perfectly. takes a bit of wiggling in to get it flush but it's spot on and protects my bumper when loading and unloading my bikes
