I’m looking to upgrade my mirrors but can’t decide, I do quite like the originals but just a little old and outdated, plus they are standard manual so that’s got to change.
Touran dashboard, Adjustable armrest, 25th Edition seatbelts, 30th Edition leather/tartan seats, sunglasses holder, Touran carpets and floor mats, Facelift highline cluster, RCD330, reverse camera, Climatic, Mk5 leather MFSW, Cruise control, LED Projector headlights, 16” wheels, Leather handbrake / chrome button, Mk7 gearknob, Auto headlights & Fully carpeted, sound deadened and insulated!

I like my old originals, they give excellent rear vision which is great when you consider that the interior rear view mirror is as much good as an ash tray on a motor bike

For what I’ve read there’s slot of converting to be done plus wiring

I did mine on my 06 you need to plastic weld part of the base plate from you old mirrors fill sand and paint then new holes drilled into the door then I plugged them directly into the door control module salvaged from the same car to upgrade to electric widows at the same time fare bit of work but definitely worth the effort

So you have to buy a decent plastic welding iron, min 200w so it will weld the abs plastic, a good one with rods and stainless steel mesh is about £160. Like I say, I like my mirrors

It's definitely not plug and play, and not something i would attempt. Good luck if you do, I know I would balls it up myself.
