How do I know if the van has factory alarm system? Last time I used Carista I think it was £10ish for 7 days use.

I’m not sure, I only knew mine did because it was listed under standard equipment when I bought it.

Does the program work with other adapters? Or should I buy a Carista adapter? Does have anybody experience?

The app works with some other adapters listed on their website, but if you use the official one at £15.99 you get a 30 day trial with all features unlocked.

This was enough to get all the adaptations I wanted and clear out some fault codes.

Will this allow me to clear the fail codes thrown up by the LED repeaters, LED DRL and the LED number plate lights?

It will almost certainly allow you to clear the fault codes, however it won't stop them from coming back again. For that you would need VCDS.

I think Carista might be able to code led bulbs, email their support to confirm it.
OBDeleven Pro can definitely do it so VCDS is not the only option.

OBDeleven is good for the simple stuff, struggle to get my head around the long coding part at the moment though as it's not a self explanatory as VCDS

Pro version or standard?

I've got the pro version and you can pretty much use VCDS guides. I think the standard only has the apps and they tend to be self explanatory.
