Hello guys. I'm currently adding some upgrades to my MK3 Caddy and need some advice on a new android touch screen radio. Seen a few on ebay from Pumpkin, Eonon and Erisin. Does anyone own any of these units and how do they perform?
Also, some will only fit up to a 2013 Caddy, mine is 2014. I assume it's the same, just registered in 2014. Is this right? Thanks..

Re: Android radio advice
I've got one, a Pumpkin 8 core. Very happy with it. There's a few things you need to consider, such as internet access (which they're much better with), where you want to play your music/audio from, GPS antenna installation, whether you have factory USB and/or reverse cam that you need to connect up, etc.
Some info on my build thread, plus there's a topic here in ICE section, in which I have placed other links to other topics where I wrote up a few details on my install experience.

Thanks for your reply Mark, but I'm unable to view that part of the forum. I'd appreciate it if a mod could upgrade my account.

I believe you have the required number of posts for the first upgrade, read the below link very carefully, do what is required and the promised land of full forum access will be within reach.

Re: Android radio advice
I just bought one off dx.com not thinking it over, it was a 9" with android 6.01 namned funrover, it came with cables and canbus integration, very easy to install, just plug everthing in.
Then when I started to look around for mods and upgrades I realized I'd should have bought a more common brand, but it does the job, I didn't have steeering wheel control keys, so i did it the "cheap" way with a controller like this.

Re: Android radio advice
I purchased a radio from eBay and had nothing but trouble with it.
When the radio or van was switched off it would draw too much current leaving me with a flat battery after 3 days of not driving the van.
With the van switched off as well as the radio I would receive mobile call, stood just outside of my van the radio would turn on and blue tooth the phone call.
There are uk distributors for the some of the above mentioned radios which would be a better place to purchase rather than eBay.
As you would have better lines of communication ie not some one using google translate.
