Sound deadening a caddy

Post by Caddy bridge »

As I read many people are adding sound deadening to there Caddy’s are they really that noisy on the motorway etc? I’m hoping to buy one with the bulkhead partition fitted and ply lining.

I had a fully carpeted Caddy but a good bulkhead with window is silent enough.

Yes just plylined will do me but I plan on using it as a car for going away and things like that.

They’re pretty noisy. First thing I noticed when I drove mine for the first time.

Yes mate, all vans are noisy, My previous car was an Audi A8 which was very quiet, the caddy was torture until I got silent coat.

Keeping the bulkhead in will also cut a little sound out too

Noisiest van I've ever owned, and Noisey where it becomes an issue as you never get used to it, I put it down to the huge unstressed side panels of the swb transmitting sound like a giant sub woofer and I'm assuming the Maxi is a bit quieter. On the plus side, when I'm driving my van it's the only time I don't hear my tinnitus

I came from a shitty old Vauxhall combo into my current caddy. The combo had no bulkhead, no sound deadening, nothing....and it was way quitter than my caddy.

That was the only plus point the combo had over the caddy tho :D
