Currently looking to purchase this caddy:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Caddy-van/32 ... %7Ciid%3A1
My main concern is the fact its done over 190,000!! Also he is asking £3250, is this good value? As to me it seems like a lot of money for what it is. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Re: High mileage Caddy
looks reasonably well for all that u can see of it
my old 1.9 tdi racked up over 400000 miles and apart from clutches and flywheels was flying it eventually needed the pots under the cam lobes changed as they had worn thru but that was a quick reasonably cheap repair

Re: High mileage Caddy
Thanks for the quick reply, so you think £3250 is a reasonable price for what it is?

Re: High mileage Caddy
Have a good look at the service book, see what has been done in the past. A full vw book with detailed information would sway it in favour if it was me.

Re: High mileage Caddy
Thanks for the info, i'll look into the service history. I also looked at the mot history and last year the disks and pads were advisories so they'll probably need doing this time round. but other than those bits it doesn't seem too much to worry about

Re: High mileage Caddy
260k here, wouldn't spend £3000 on one with that sort of mileage though, unless it was in really good nick and backed up with a lot of history. We paid a grand for ours, plus the same again getting it right.
Sorry chaps, much as our 2k looks nice, I prefer my Mk2.
