i am from south africa and own a vw caddy mk3 1.6 used
first time caddy owner.
i need some help please my cadd y is a 1.6 petrol bsf engine code,the gearbox is on its way out. is there another gearbox that would bolt up to it. i plan on doing a 1.8t swap in the future.kind regards

If you're planning to swap to a 1.8T, then use a GTI trans.
The ratios might make it a little slow with the 1.6 petrol though.
Either mk4, or mk5 trans will fit, but you may need to change the outer CVs on MK4 driveshafts.
MK5 is the easiest though+
