Interior shelf

Post by Lukehiggy »

Just wondering had any one painted there shelf in the cab and how does it look? I'm thinking of carpeting the roof lining and wanted it all black inside?

Yes mate. Scotch pad, wipe clean, adhesion promotor, mid grey paint. Not a perfect match. But closest your get.

Can you spray the headliner? Or is retrimming the only option ?

How hard is it around that interior light part when carpeting. I’m bowing out I’ve got a trimmer to do mine. I had a go. It looked crap. I have to learn my limits🤦🏻‍♂️

@caddyluv I sent mine to the trimmers and it was done in black 4 way stretch carpet. I also sent all the plastics to the Bodyshop I use as my theory was I would be cheaper and I know there wouldn’t be any runs

Fair enough light coats is the answer won’t get runs.

The carpeted area around the interior light is cover by the parcel shelf so I wouldn't worry if it didn't look good when carpeted.

I just dyed my headliner last week, saves adding bulk and causing other trims to misalign when refitted.

Yea, I was on my own and had nobody to pull the bulkhead back to get past it. I wasn't gonna go taking it out.
